Training sessions to get you race ready

Each session is relaxed but practical, guided by British Cycling coaches and experienced riders. You’ll develop skills, improve confidence in bunch riding, and learn key race techniques step-by-step.
The session includes 90 minutes of structured, skills-focused riding followed by 30 minutes off-bike, chatting through questions, sharing advice, and working out what’s next for you.
*we define women as all women, all non binary and all trans people
Please note:
These sessions are not for beginner cyclists.
You must be comfortable riding in a group, alongside other riders
Have a road bike with drop bars
Have a clip in pedal system and feel confident using them
You may not have raced before, but you are looking to try it out or advance your existing skills
You will be taking part in drills that are close to a racing environment, and must be willing to push and challenge yourself. And please remember, we will be on hand to guide you through it all, in a supportive and safe environment.
What to Bring:
Road bike (no mudguards or tri-bars; bar ends plugged)
Helmet, clipless shoes, suitable clothing
Food and drink
Tools and spares you usually carry
Optional notebook for post-session notes

These sessions align closely with the London Academy GP at Lee Valley. Over the last 2 years, over 25 women entered the 4th category race, making it the most welcoming and well-attended women-only race in London. These sessions will help ensure you feel prepared and comfortable, whether this is your first race or one of many. And you can enter here.
